Lillian Ebanks Joseph is a New Orleans–born engineer and author who has spent more than 30+ years turning curiosity into solving problems and leading teams. Her career in engineering spans the pulp and paper, industrial gases, and oil and gas industries, where she currently serves as a Senior Process Safety Management Engineer.
Alongside her professional work, Lillian is the CEO of Solutions 4 Tomorrow TX LLC, providing STEM resources and tutoring, and the Founder and Executive Director of the STEM Girls ROCK Foundation. Through both, she focuses on helping young people build confidence, ask questions, and see themselves as capable learners and future innovators.
Her debut book, Lizzie Finds Her Spark!, is inspired by her own journey, the mentors who encouraged her, and the students she continues to support. Through Lizzie and the Spark STEM Squad, Lillian shows children of all backgrounds that STEM isn’t just something learned in school. It’s part of everyday life, waiting to be discovered.
Deeply rooted in community and family, Lillian and her husband, Patrick, partnered with Xavier University of Louisiana to establish the Ebanks Joseph Endowed Engineering Program Fund, supporting the academic success of future engineers. She is also active in Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated and New Orleans cultural traditions through the Mystic Krewe of Femme Fatale Mardi Gras Organization.
She believes every child has a spark, sometimes they just need someone to help them see it.
